Ten others were injured in the incident which occured near Nayagaon under Khairwara police station circle, 418 kms from here.
The jeep was its way to Pahada area from Khairwara town when it collided with the truck, police said.
Locals and police rushed the victims to a nearby hospital where nine were declared dead, they said, adding, that five of the injured were in criticial state.
Efforts are being made to ascertain their identity, the police added.
