Nine sentenced to life term in murder case

A court in Bihar's Jamui district today convicted nine persons in a case relating to the murder of a woman, including the victim's husband.

The Fast Track Court V Additional District and Sessions judge K K Agrawal convicted Suman's husband Naresh Barnwal, his sister in-law Khusbu and seven others under Sections 302 and 120B of the IPC.

According to the prosecution, Naresh Barnwal, a native of Amlabad locality in Bokaro district of Jharkhand, had got his wife murdered in collusion with Khusbu with whom he had an illicit relationship.

Suman (28) was killed after being waylaid by a gang of criminals on March 25, 2013 when she, along with Naresh and some relatives, was on way to Jamui after a visit to Rajgir.
 

The victim's brother Rajesh Barnwal had lodged an FIR charging his brother in-law with conspiracy to murder his sister.
