Nine tourists from Kerala killed

Nine tourists from Thiruvananthapuram were killed and 15 injured when the bus they were travelling in rolled down a four lane road near Panangudi in the wee hours today.

Police said the bus driver lost control of the vehicle while driving at speed, leading to the accident.

The tourists were proceeding to Kanyakumari en route to Thiruvananthapuram when the mishap occurred.

The deceased included two children and four men.

The injured have been admitted to the government hospital at Nagercoil, police said.
