NISA to organise various events to mark silver jubilee

City-based National Industrial Security Academy (NISA) of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) will celebrate its silver jubilee from December 1 to 8 by organising various events.

NISA is organising a series of events including seminars, exhibition and mela and a 'CISF NISA Suraksha Half Marathon' as part of the celebrations, NISA Inspector General and Director Anil Kumar said here today.

Initially, CISF Training College was established at Partappur in Meerut in 1969 and was shifted to Sivarampally here in 1971. In July 1987, the Training College was shifted to its present location at Hakimpet here, Kumar added.

Formally, on December 8, 1990 the Training College was upgraded into a full-fledged Academy and was inaugurated as the NISA, he said.
 

Over the last 25 years, NISA has trained 772 Gazetted Officers and 8,582 Sub-Ordinate officers trainees who are presently working in different CISF units across the country and enhancing the security of the nation, Kumar said.

NISA is a premier national level institute imparting training in industrial security management, disaster management and aviation security to officers of CISF, sister organisations of CAPFs, state police organisations, foreign police organisations, civil servants and officers of public sector undertaking, the officer added.
