Senior bureaucrats Nishi Singh and Gopal Mukherjee were today appointed as members in Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), the apex direct taxes body.
The Appointments Committee of Cabinet has approved their appointments, an order issued by Department of Personnel and Training said.
Both are the officers of Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax cadre). While, Singh will have a tenure till July next year, Mukherjee will continue till January 2018, when they complete 60 years of age of superannuation.
