Nissan Motor India today reported a 28.64 per cent increase in its total sales for January, 2014 at 5,182 units.
In the same month previous year, the company had sold a total of 4,028 units, Nissan Motor India said in a statement.
"We are delighted with the reception Terrano has received from the market and its impact on strengthening sales performance since October last year," Hover Automotive India (Nissan's National Sales Company) acting Chief Operating Officer Richard Spitzer said.

Nissan had launched compact sports utility vehicle Terrano in October 2013. It is Nissan's fourth locally produced vehicle in India, and is built alongside the mid-sized Sunny sedan, compact hatchback Micra, Micra Active and MPV Evalia at company's Oragadam facility near Chennai.
Spitzer said the company is looking forward to carry the momentum into 2014, supported by models like the new Sunny sedan.
