Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today joined devotees in offering prayer at Gandhi maidan on the occasion of Eid festival and prayed for peace and prosperity of the state.
Kumar mingled with the devotees and embraced many of them to extend greetings.
Later talking to reporters, he said that Eid symbolises love and affection of one with others.

"I offer greetings to all Muslim brothers and sisters on Eid and pray that communal harmony and brotherhood continue in Bihar," Kumar said.
"The country is facing many a problem but mutual love and sense of brotherhood among citizens is its biggest strength. I pray that this strength of unity remains intact," he added.
Kumar visited Khanqah Mujibia shrine at Phulwarisharif and took blessing of Hazrat Sayed Shah Ayatullah Kadri. He also attended an Eid Milan function.
