Nitish impressed with rare items in public museum

The chief minister saw the rare items, including ancient scripts and coins lying in the museum in Paliganj, about 30 km from here, and stressed on their better upkeep.

He emphasised that special arrangement was needed to protect the precious items through use of chemical, according to an official statement.

Kumar said land of the museum was small and exhorted locals to provide land for expansion of the institution.

"By making fool-proof arrangements we can help protect these rare items for a long time," he said.

Kumar said a big museum of international standard was being built in Patna for which help of curator and sculptors from across the world would be taken.
