Nitish inspects proposed wild life safari in Rajgir

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today inspected a Wild Life Safari coming up at the famous tourist destination of Rajgir in Bihar's Nalanda district.

The Wild Life Safari would be spread over 191 hectares of which the Safari zone would cover an area of 147.20 hectares.

In the Safari zone, 65.62 hectares would be for herbivorous animals, 20.60 hectares would be for Reach, 20.63 hectares for panthers, 20.54 hectares for lions and 20.50 hectares for tigers, an official statement said.

Principal Secretary of Forest department Vivek Kumar Singh was present during the inspection.

The chief minister also inspected a guest house there and gave direction for its decoration. Forest department officials made a detailed presentation of the progress in work to him.
 

Kumar told officials that the infrastructure in the proposed safari should look natural.
