Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar met BJP president Amit Shah here Wednesday and both leaders are believed to have discussed seat-sharing arrangement between the allies in the state for the Lok Sabha polls.
Kumar, who is also Janata Dal (United) president, had recently said his party has reached a respectable deal with the BJP but had not revealed the number of constituencies it may contest of the total 40 in the state.
Political sources said it is also to be decided which seats the JD(U) will contest as his party was in the 2014 polls not a part of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance.
The BJP had then contested 30, Ram Vilas Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party seven and Upendra Kushwaha-led Rashtriya Lok Samata Party three.
The JD(U), which had contested more seats than the BJP when it was part of the NDA before quitting it in 2013, has been seeking parity with the saffron organisation.
