Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial and remarked that the site symbolized "enduring human spirit and resilience" while cautioning mankind against the "destructive potential of technology".
The Chief Minister, who has been in Japan since Monday, visited the memorial built in the city which was devastated by atomic bombing during the Second World War that had killed and maimed more than one lakh people.
"Peace Memorial at Hiroshima exhibits a moment of history frozen in time - a true reminder of the destructive potential of technology but in the same breath it also symbolizes the enduring human spirit and resilience", Kumar wrote in the visitors' book.

The state government released here the message written by the CM.
"The guiding force of human civilizatio is to hold one another in mutual affection and respect. This memorial exemplifies the Japanese ethos of peace and harmony. I feel privileged to have visited this memorial and will leave with lasting imprints of its vibes", Kumar said.
