Nitish pays tribute to 'iron man' Sardar Patel

Bihar Governor D Y Patil and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today paid rich tributes to "iron man" Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel on his 138th birth anniversary in the state capital.

The Governor paid homage to the first Home minister of the country after Independence at Patel Chowk near Chitkohara railway bridge in Patna.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also offered tribute to Sardar Patel.

Several ministers including Shayam Rajak and Renu Kushwaha also paid respect to the "Iron man."

Artistes of Public Relations department hosted cultural programme on the occasion.

The Governor and the CM later paid tributes to Late Indira Gandhi at her death anniversary.
 

They drove to late Prime Minister's statue at IGIMS (Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences) and offered tributes to her. Several ministers and public figures also paid respect to Gandhi.
