Nitish pays tributes to Sardar Patel, Indira Gandhi

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today paid floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 141st birth anniversary and former prime minister Indira Gandhi on her 32nd death anniversary.

Kumar garlanded the statue of the 'Iron man' at a state-level function at Chitkohra roundabout.

Congress state chief and minister Ashok Choudhary, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Prem Kumar and senior JD(U) leader and deputy leader in the Assembly Shyam Rajak also offered floral tributes to Patel.

Patel's birth anniversary was observed in other parts of the state as well.

Kumar garlanded the statue of Indira Gandhi at a state-level function in the premises of Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Science (IGIMS) here.
 

An all-faith prayer meet was held on the occasion in which state Congress President and minister Ashok Choudhary also participated.
