Criticising senior JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar for his "56-inch chest" barb on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP today said the PM has manifested his assertion through his "bold foreign policies" which the "jealous" former Bihar chief minister cannot see.
"Through his bold foreign policies Narendra Modi has given a strong message to Pakistan, China and America, which has broadened the chest of every Indian... PM has realised his 56-inch chest comment through his decisions, which a jealous Nitish Kumar cannot see," senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi said in a statement here.
While addressing a rally at Jind in Haryana yesterday, Kumar had said "during the recent visit of China's President Xi Jinping to India, the Chinese Army entered into Indian territory. We want to know where is the 56-inch chest now. What happened today when Chinese Army was entering our territory? Nothing is happening."

After the Prime Minister took up the incursion issue with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Chinese troops retracted from our areas, he said.
Sushil Modi, who is the Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council, said, "Kumar who is sitting in the lap of fodder scam convict Lalu Prasad in Bihar, is happy to shake hands with Indian National Lok Dal (INDL) leader Om Prakash Chautala serving a 10-year jail term in the teachers' appointment case."
"What kind of politics of principles you are doing by standing alongside leaders like Lalu Prasad and Om Prakash Chautala?" Sushil Modi questioned Kumar.
"On one hand the JD(U) is running Bihar government with the help of Congress, and in Haryana it is supporting the INLD, which is fighting against the Congress," he said.
