Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Tuesday asked people to give him his 'Mazdoori' (wages) in the form of voting for his party, the JD(U), for the service he has been rendering for 13 years.

"I have taken care of each and every section of the society in the past 13 years and followed the path of growth with justice. My main motto is to serve the people. I have come here to seek votes on the basis of service rendered to you," Kumar told an election rally here.

"Please give me my mazdoori for the services and development that I have done by voting and making Ajay Mandal victorious in the election," said Kumar who is also the JD(U) president.

Mandal is the JD(U) candidate for Bhagalpur Lok Sabha seat that would go to polls on April 18.

A 250 MW solar power plant would be set up at Pirpainty against the earlier plan of setting up of a thermal plant, Kumar said.

Taking a swipe at erstwhile RJD dispensation in the state, the CM said that now there is no need to have lantern as every household has got electricity connection.

Lantern is the symbol of the RJD.
