Senior JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar today flayed rival BJP of trying to appropriate the credit for work done by others.

However, this would not pay dividends for them in the coming elections, Kumar said during his address to BJP workers as part of the 'Samparak Yatra' here.

"Doosro ke kaam par apna mohar laga kar rajniti kar rahe hai. Parantu iska fayada unko nahi hoga chunav me (they are trying to derive political benefits by applying their seal on work done by others. But this will not pay them in the poll)," Kumar said.

The "Samparak yatra" got off on Thursday last.

Kumar flayed BJP for ignoring him at the inauguration of a unit of NTPC at Barh yesterday for which he had done a lot.

Kumar, as the Lok Sabha member from Barh and later as Chief Minister of Bihar had worked tirelessly for NTPC Barh power projects but was not invited for the inauguration function yesterday.

In a dig at seven Union ministers hailing from Bihar and seated in the front row at the inauguration of commecial launch of Unit IV of Barh power project, Kumar said, "Jhoot ki kheti ki rajniti se lav nahi hoga (they will not get anything by harvesting seeds of falsehood)".

"They have no contribution in the project and assembled there only for photo ops," Kumar said.

Union ministers - Radhamohan Singh, Ravishankar Prasad, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Dharmendra Pradhan, Ram Kripal Yadav, Giriraj Singh and senior state leaders Sushil Kumar Modi and Nand Kishore Yadav had attended the inaugural function.

Goyal in his speech had comveyed good wishes of Union Ministers Ram Vilas Paswan and Upendra Kushwaha on the occasion.

Continuing his tirade, Kumar said notwithstanding tall claims, majority of ministers from Bihar are of Minister of State (MOS) rank and do not have the muscle to get the work done.
