Undertaking inspection of the 224-acre AMU study centre

site at Kishanganj during his seva yatra, Kumar said he would like AMU to undertake fencing of the site handed over to it by the state government and begin construction of infrastructure.

The chief minister thanked the AMU for accepting the state government's proposal to set up its study centre at Kishanganj in view of the backwardness of the region as far as the availability of academic infrastructure was concerned.

Now that various formalities related to the centre has been completed, it was for the AMU administration to fulfil its obligation and construct buildings and related infrastructure so that the bright students of the minority community could pursue higher education, he said.

The AMU study centre will prove to be an ideal higher education destination for the students of the minority community of not only Kishanganj district, but of the entire state, Kumar said.
