A District Registrar and a computer operator were arrested by Anti-Corruption Bureau in Nizamabad district of Telangana for allegedly taking Rs 60,000 as bribe.
The Nizamabad district registrar K Mohan was trapped in his office yesterday by ACB sleuths, when he demanded and accepted the bribe of Rs 60,000 from a complainant for extending an official favour, an ACB release stated here today.
Mohan handed over the bribe money to the computer operator, Syed Owez Ali, for safe custody.
The duo were arrested after recovery of the amount, the release added.
