Nizamabad MC team visits Chandigarh

A delegation of 50 councillors and five senior officers from Nizamabad Municipal Corporation, Telangana visited Chandigarh today.

The team, led by Mayor Akula Sujatha, was on a tour to study local administration, various reforms undertaken in Chandigarh and major projects of the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh.

Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, B Purushartha made a detailed presentation regarding various developmental projects of the corporation, including water supply, sewerage disposal, sanitation and beautification of the city, an official release said here.

The delegation visited water works in Sector 39 here and were briefed regarding water supply system in the Chandigarh. It also under took round of the city roads and parks, including Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, Fragrance Garden, Terraced Garden and visited Sewerage Treatment Plant at 3 BRD, it said.
 

Sujatha appreciated the projects under the management of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh and lauded the maintenance of green parks, green belts and neat and clean roads of the city, the release said.

She also requested the Mayor Arun Sood and Purushartha to visit Nizamabad alongwith the other councillors and officers of the corporation, it added.
