NLC pays Rs 229 crore interim dividend to Union govt

The total outgo to the company on its paid-up capital of Rs 1,677.71 crore is Rs 251.66 crore

State-run Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) has paid an interim dividend of Rs 229.49 crore to the Union government for 2015-16.

NLC Chairman and Managing Director Sarat Kumar Acharya handed over the cheque valued at Rs 226.49 crore to Union Coal and Power Minister, Piyush Goyal at a function held in New Delhi recently, a company statement said.

NLC paid the interim dividend of 15%, valued at Rs 226.49 crore, it added.

The total outgo to the company on its paid-up capital of Rs 1,677.71 crore is Rs 251.66 crore, the release said.
