National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) has surrendered to Assam Rifles at Kanchanpur in North Tripura district, the police today said.
An insurgent, Jatendra Reang surrendered yesterday to Assam Rifles at their camp at Kanchanpur sub-division and deposited two live grenades, the police said adding the insurgent is being interrogated.
The police said another hardcore insurgent of the same outfit, Bipul Debbarma had surrendered to BSF at Khowai camp of Khowai district on Saturday and deposited one AK-56 rifle.
