Centre for Competition Law and Policy at National Law University (NLU), Jodhpur, has become India's first competition law research centre to partner the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) at its Research Partnership Platform (RPP), said NLU officials today.
University registrar Sohan Lal Sharma said the NLU's centre is the first among Indian law universities to receive this recognition.
Research oriented, the centre works on different aspects of competition law and policy at national and international levels. It organises lectures by various resource persons, he said.

Coordinator competition law and policy at NLU Deepankar Sharma said UNCTAD deals with issues of competition law and policy on a international platform.
"UNCTAD-RPP is a unique initiative which brings together universities, institutions and competition authorities to undertake joint research and deliberations on issues and challenges in competition law and policy", said Deepankar.
