NLU Jodhpur closed after swine flu case surfaces

National Law University Jodhpur has been closed for ten days from today after a student of the country's premier law college was tested positive for contagious swine flu.

However, the administrative staff will stay put in the college.

Meanwhile, death toll in Jodhpur due to swine flu has touched 47 after two more patients died this afternoon.

"We have decided to suspend the classes in the university for next 10 days after a student of the institution was found swine flu positive on Monday," said Sohan Lal Sharma, Registrar of the University.

About 435 people have been tested positive in Jodhpur so far.
 

S N Medical College administration has roped in retired doctors to deal with the menace, which has picked up in last four days.

According to the principal of the medical college Ami Lal Bhat, "Their knowledge and expertise in dealing with this dreaded virus would help us in ensuring more effective approach as well as addressing some important points, which we might be missing."

Medical college administration has roped in the medical students equipping them with necessary information on the flu.

"These students will go to nearby towns with printed materials and will spreads awareness about the virus," said Bhat.
