National Mazdoor Conference today urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to direct the chairman of the seventh pay commission to start negotiations with representatives of employees without any further delay.
"We urge the PM to direct the chairman and all members of the commission to start negotiations with representatives of central and state governments employees and pensioners..., so that report could be submitted to the Centre within stipulated period," NMC president Subash Shastri said.
Shastri, while addressing a workers rally here, said as there is only 17 months time to complete the report, the commission should visit all the states in the country to obtain views of federations of the state governments employees and pensioners may also get benefited out of it.

Pleading the cause of employees and pensioners, Shastri also demanded early release of seven per cent DA due from July this year.
The other demands highlighted in the rally included 6th pay commission arrears, include Jammu city in the list of proposed 100 smart cities, issuance of regularisation orders of 180 daily wagers working in Rural Development Department and release of pending wages of casual labourers working in the various government departments.
