National Mazdoor Conference today urged the Central government to frame a national policy for regularisation of daily workers working across the country.
"We call upon the NDA government at the Centre to frame a national policy for regularisation of daily, casual, contractual and ad-hoc workers working across the country," NMC president Subash Shastri said in a memorandum sent to Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitly.
The minimum wages should be Rs 10,000 per month, he said.

Shastri urged Jaitly to direct the chairman of the seventh pay commission to formulate a national pay policy for both Central and State governments and pensioners.
He also appealed to the Union Finance Minister to keep provision for 20 per cent interim relief for Central and State government employees and pensioners in the current financial year budget, which is likely to be presented in the Lok Sabha next month.
The NMC president also demanded to raise the income tax slab to Rs five lakhs in view of steep rise in prices of essential commodities.
