India's largest iron ore miner NMDC today said it produced 10.93 million tonnes of ore in April-July of 2017-18.
The state-owned company produced 6.86 mt iron ore from its mines in Chhattisgarh and 4.07 mt in Karnataka during the first four months of 2017-18, the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) said in a filing to the BSE.
It sold 12.04 mt iron ore in the period under review. Production and sales figures of iron ore are provisional.
NMDC, under the administrative control of the Ministry of Steel, is a navratna involved in exploration of minerals, including iron ore, copper, rock phosphate and limestone.
