"I would like to warn those hatching a conspiracy against us, should know that the development of West Bengal cannot be stalled," Banerjee told a rally here in this North Bengal town.

"It is my challenge to keep the wheels of the state, burdened with a debt of Rs 2.03 lakh crore bequeathed by the previous Left Front government, turning," Banerjee said without naming anyone.

"How difficult it is to run everything, we only know. But, Bengal will make a turnaround one day," she said.

Referring to heavy rains during the rally, Banerjee expressed her gratitude to the people for attending, and said "the bad weather will end and we will go ahead with success."

The chief minister called on the youth to rally around her government's efforts to push development in the state.
