Favouring education that inculcates self-respect and self-reliance, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat today alleged that there is no coordination between education and employment in the country.

"After education, a youth has to hanker after job. It shows that so far there has been no coordination in education and employment," Bhagwat said.

"Education without inculcating self-respect, self-reliance and zeal to counter problems is useless," the RSS Sar Sangha Chalak said, addressing the inauguration ceremony of a hall in Shriji Baba Saraswati Vidya Mandir here.

The programme was also attended by Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Mahesh Sharma, Union MoS for HRD Ram Shankar Katheria and MP Babu Lal.

"Education in schools run by Vidya Bharti would be meaningful if an atmosphere full of moral and ethical values is also maintained in the families," Bhagwat said.

Calling for more active support of society to schools run by the Vidya Bharati he said, "Vidya Bharti Schools, though, are run with the cooperation of the society, it should not be limited to contribution of money. There should be no difference between preaching and practising."

While appreciating Union government's cleanliness drive, the RSS chief said that everyone owes responsibility to maintain it.
