The development adds a twist to August 26 elections of MPCA.

Next hearing will be fixed after ten days, Senior Advocate Vivek Patwa told reporters.

Scindia and others have challenged the order of Assistant Registrar (Firms and Societies) to cancel their life memberships. The petitions were heard by Justice Prakash Shrivastava today.

The judge, after hearing counsels from both sides, refused to stay the Registrar's order which has barred the petitioners from voting in the MPCA elections.

The Registrar's July 27 order came on a complaint filed by Leeladhar Paliwal, a senior member of MPCA.

Sources in the state cricket body said no surprising results were expected in the elections, which are being seen as a tussle between BJP and Congress.

State Industries Minister and local MLA Kailash Vijaywargiya has challenged Scindia for the post of President for the second time. Last time, Scindia had defeated Vijaywargiya by 70 votes.

Scindia camp alleges that Assistant Registrar's order was biased, and Vijaywargiya was behind the action.

Vijaywargiya camp's main strategist, Amitabh Vijaywargiya, today said High Court's refusal to grant interim relief established that the Minister had no role in the termination of memberships.
