Delhi Congress today blamed AAP and BJP for development work coming to a standstill in unauthorised and regularised colonies in the national capital.

"Due to AAP government in Delhi and the BJP-ruled MCDs' irresponsibility and anti-people policies, development works in these colonies have come to a halt," DPCC President Arvinder Singh alleged.

Speaking at a meeting attended by party's district presidents, Singh blamed former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for "stopping" Congress' efforts towards regularising unauthorised colonies and termed the BJP as an "enemy of those living in such areas".

He and party spokesperson Mukesh Sharma contended that nothing has been done in 1,639 unauthorised-cum-regularised colonies here and as a result the over 50 lakh people living in these areas were having a "miserable existence".

They asked the district presidents to expose the AAP and BJP MLAs who were not doing any work for the welfare of the people.
