BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain on Tuesday claimed there is "no difference" between communists and Maoists as they both "believe in the ideology of violence".

He said under BJP chief Amit Shah's leadership, public outreach and awareness rallies were taken out in Kerala, where the CPI(M)-led LDF is in power, to protest against the "killing of party workers" and it "received unprecedented support from the public".

Speaking to reporters here, Hussain said, "There is no difference between communists and Maoists as both believe in the ideology of violence."

On the upcoming Gujarat Assembly elections, the BJP national spokesperson said, "The Congress is feeling dejected, and is hell-bent on breaking all standards of dignity."

"It has even cast an aspersion on the Election Commission. The Congress is going to get its lowest tally of seats in Gujarat Assembly since Independence," he said.

Hussain also exuded confidence that the BJP would perform well in Himachal Pradesh Assembly polls.

Speaking on GST, he said, "This is a big achievement. If there are any shortcomings, it will be removed as soon as they come to notice."

Hussain also praised Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, saying, "He is working to bring a complete end to crime, criminals, corruption and corrupt elements."

"The way he (Adityanath) implemented the schemes of public interest are really praiseworthy. Social service flows in his blood. Today his popularity is rising in India.
