Senior Samajwadi Party leader and state's PWD minister Shivpal Singh Yadav today claimed that his party stopped BJP from coming to power at the Centre twice and would do the same in 2014.

"Samajwadi Party stopped BJP from coming to power two times and would do the same again....No government can come to power without our support... By winning at least 70 seats in 2014 it will play an important role in the formation of the next government in the country," Yadav told newspersons here.

Yadav, who was here to take part in party's 'Pichra Varg Sammelan' alleged that the previous government had "merely indulged in loot and misused the funds in building parks and memorials".

The SP leader said that Mayawati as chief minister did not undertake any tours and "whenever she did move out there was curfew like condition".

"She did not do anything for Dalits..The only beneficiaries were bureaucrats, ministers and commission agents," he said, warning the officials that they will have to listen to people.

"If the officials really want they can check corruption.... They can also check ministers... In fact it is official who teaches cheating to ministers," Yadav said.
