Adilabad district in Telangana today sizzled with the highest maximum temperature of 42.5 degrees Celsius, but no heat wave conditions are prevailing in the state yet, the Met department said.
Maximum temperatures were above normal at many places, the India Meteorological Department said.
The highest maximum temperature of 42.5 degrees Celsius was recorded at Adilabad, followed by Nizamabad at 41.7 degrees Celsius.

"Maximum temperatures continue to be above normal by 2 degrees and they are likely to be above 40 degrees Celsius at isolated places in all the districts in the next two days," an IMD official said.
"It is not a heat wave, but warning about rise in temperature has been given," IMD Hyderabad's director Y K Reddy told PTI.
