There has been no considerable improvement in the health of former union minister Sanwar Lal Jat, who has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital here after collapsing during a BJP meeting, doctors attending on him said today.

The 62-year-old Ajmer MP was admitted to the SMS Hospital here yesterday after he collapsed during a meeting of BJP MPs and MLAs with party chief Amit Shah.

"His condition is stable but there is no considerable improvement in his health. He is still unconscious. He is being provided best treatment, but if there is no improvement then he can be taken to New Delhi for better treatment," SMS College Principal, Dr US Agarwal said.

Dr Agarwal said that Jat is on life support system.

Jat has served as MoS for Water Resources in the Modi government before the Cabinet reshuffle last year.

The Jat leader was appointed as the Chairman of the state Farmers' Commission in last October.

Supporters of Jat and party workers have flocked the hospital to enquire about his well being.
