PM Modi condemns terror attack at Istanbul airport, calls it 'inhuman, horrific'

The External Affairs Ministry stated that there has been no report so far of any Indian casualty in the terror attack

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today condemned the terror attack in Istanbul, terming it as inhuman and horrific.

"Attack in Istanbul is inhuman & horrific. I condemn it strongly. My thoughts are with bereaved families. May the injured recover quickly," he said in a tweet.

The External Affairs Ministry has also stated that there has been no report so far of any Indian casualty in the terror attack. 

The ministry also said that the Indian Consulate has been in touch been touch with Istanbul governorate and has given emergency contact numbers for Indians requiring assistance.

Suspected Islamic State group suicide bombers targeted the international terminal of Istanbul's Ataturk airport, killing at least 36 people and wounding many others.
