Haryana government today decided to dispense with the practice of holding interviews for recruitment for Group 'D' posts to ensure transparency and fairness in government jobs.

From now onwards, all the recruitments on Group 'D' posts will be made by Haryana Staff Selection Commission, said an official spokesman.

The decision was taken in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Manohar Lal here today.

The new system of recruitment will eliminate the discretion and scope of corruption in recruitment process, the spokesman said.

This decision came on the lines of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Independence Day promise. The Prime Minister during his Independence Day speech had urged the state governments to end the practice of holding interviews for junior level jobs in the government.
