The Election Commission today said no irregularities were found in some EVMs in Ranchi as alleged by a couple of political parties, that led to a clash between the police and some people leading to injuries to more than 12 people near Khelgaon in the city.
"After a thorough check, no irregularity was found in some EVMS. There was some misunderstanding that led to the commotion," Chief Electoral Officer P K Jajoria told PTI today.
Jajoria went to the spot last night after getting information that some people intercepted the car of Angara Block Development Officer Dipmala, apprehending alleged irregularities in the EVMs being carried by her leading to the clash.

According to police sources even after the BDO pleaded to the obstructing people that she was taking back empty EVMs, they allegedly misbehaved with her, leading to a lathi charge that left more than a dozen injured.
