A Karnataka based farmers company, in which father of Geetha Gopinath, advisor to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, is a director, today said there was no irregularities in the supply of vegetables to Kerala through Horticulture Corporation.
Talking to reporters here, Raitamitra Farmers Producer Company Ltd Chiarman K Shanthakumar said the company was supplying vegetables and fruits directly to Horticorporation after following due procedures.
Company chairman's clarification came in the backdrop of Congress legislator V D Sateeshan raising the issue in the just concluded assembly session during a debate on matters related alleged rift between to officers of the agriculture department.

Gopinath was one of the directors of Raitamitra and has been working with farmers organisation for several years, Shanthakumar said.
"It is not fair to drag the names of T V Gopinath or his daughter Geetha Gopinath in this", he said.
They had followed transparent procedures while supplying vegetables and fruits to the state since the past three months, Shanthakumar said adding the company was striving for prosperity of farmers.
