No Modi wave in Arunachal: Nabam Tuki

He stated that the Congress would sweep the Assembly and Parliamentary elections

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki today claimed that there was no Modi wave in the state and Congress would make a clean sweep in the April-9 Lok Sabha and Assembly polls in the state.

"Modi's last Arunachal visit proved lucky for us. We won eleven Assembly constituencies unopposed! I have full confidence that his second visit would bring more luck to us. We'll sweep the Assembly and Parliamentary elections," Tuki told an election rally at Dambuk in Lower Dibang Valley district.

Claiming that BJP has no base in the North-East, he said "of the eight north eastern states, five are ruled by the Congress while BJP has no presence anywhere. It is surprising that BJP has its eyes on Arunachal, which never will be a reality," he said.
