In a letter to Gowda yesterday, Yeddyurappa loyalists had urged Gowda to call for an emergency legislative party meeting to discuss reports of the complaint written by Chief Minister and BJP state president K S Eshwarappa to party national president Nitin Gadkari stating that some ministers were involved in anti-party activities resulting in party's defeat in the recent Chikamagalore-Udupi Lok Sabha bypoll.
The loyalists, including some ministers and MLAs, also sought disciplinary action against them.
"It is a letter written to Gadkari. If any discussion on the content of the letter...It will be between me and Gadkari", Gowda said.
On the death of Assistant Conservator of Forests Madan H Nayak after he was allegedly assaulted by a six-member tourist group on May 6 when he tried to prevent them from throwing meat to crocodiles in Kali river at the Dandeli crocodile park, Gowda said he had directed Forest Minister C P Yogeshwar to hand over the case to the CID.
"I have asked the Forest Minister to hand over the case to the CID in the wake of apprehensions over police inaction to bring the culprits to book", he said.
Three persons were arrested and a hunt is on for other three accused.
When Nayak's body was brought to Dandeli yesterday, various local organisations staged protests demanding stringent action against those accused in the incident.
