The decision would be in force from October 16 to 24, an official release said, quoting the minister.

There will be no load shedding between 6 pm and 6 am anywhere in the state during the festival days, the release said.

Former energy minister Ajit Pawar had also ensured there was no load-shedding during the ten-day Ganesh Chaturthi festival last month.

While there will be no load shedding even during the day time in most areas of the state, in some areas, there could be load shedding for a few hours, it said.
