"We have no objection if they (Trinamool Congress) want to contest the next Lok Sabha election alone", PCC President Pradip Bhattacharya said commenting on Bandopadhyay's remark.

"I just want to remind them that once they (TMC) were reduced to one (MP) contesting (the Lok Sabha poll) on their own," he said.

On coming panchayat election in the state, he said "if they want to fight alone, we have no problem. Our party candidates know how to fight that election".

After an all-party meeting in Delhi, Bandopadhaya had told reporters that "we are planning to win all 42 seats (in West Bengal). We want to see that under Mamata Banerjee's leadership, 42 MPs remain in our command".

Trinamool's relations with Congress at the state level remains strained with leaders of both parties often attacking each other.
