Former Jharkhand Deputy Chief Minister Stephen Marandi, who joined the JMM yesterday, today said no leader could survive without a strong organisation and would work for JMM in the larger interest of the people.
"No one can survive (in politics) without a strong organisation. And I joined my old party, and now I am confident to fight from Maheshpur assembly seat, which the party has allotted me for this elections," Marandi told PTI.
Denied ticket in 2005 assembly elections, Marandi quit the JMM and had won Dumka seat as Independent and went on to become the deputy chief minister in both Shibu Soren and Madhu Koda governments.

Marandi, who had won five times as JMM candidate before winning Independently, lost the Dumka seat to Hemant Soren, now the state's chief minister, in 2009.
"Both Guruji (Shibu Soren) and Hemant are happy to see me back in JMM," Marandi said.
He claimed that a communication gap with the JMM leadership had created the void.
JMM president Shibu Soren and Chief Minister Hemant Soren had welcomed back Marandi.
