The Jammu and Kashmir government today said that there was no threat of an epidemic outbreak in the Jammu region in the wake of the recent floods.
Principal of the Government Medical College in Jammu Ghanshyam Dev Gupta said there has been no outbreak of any disease following the recent floods in Jammu province.
The Principal denied news reports in a section of media that 200 patients suffering from diarrhoea and related ailments were admitted to the government hospital.
He said the patients admitted included some routine cases of diarrhoea which was a norm even before the floods struck the state.
