The sessions court here today adjourned hearing on anticipatory bail application of Jiten Seth, uncle of business woman-cum-model Vihari Sheth who has been arrested for smuggling jewellery, as Directorate of Revenue Intelligence said it would not arrest him for now.

Jiten filed the bail application after the agency conducted searches at his shop following Vihari's arrest.

Vihari, Managing Director of a jewellery store chain located at five-star hotels, was stopped by the customs after she crossed the green channel at Chhtrapati Shivaji International Airport without declaring anything last Friday. Checking revealed jewelleries worth Rs 2.5 crore hidden under her undergarments.

The DRI lawyer told the court that it won't arrest Jiten for now but he should be directed to appear before the agency.

The court directed Jiten to visit DRI office every day for a week and later whenever called by the investigation officer, while fixing the hearing on bail plea on August 28.
