Rejecting opposition Congress claim, BJD president and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today ruled out possibility of cross-voting in the upcoming presidential elections on July 17.

"I do not think so at all," Patnaik told reporters while replying a question on the possibility of the cross- voting in the presidential polls.

After a meeting between the BJD MLAs/MPs with NDA presidential candidate Ram Nath Kovind, Patnaik said: "My party is supporting Ram Nath Kovind as the presidential candidate. Today, we had a meeting of BJD MLAs and MPs. We requested all MLAs, MPs of the party to support for Ram Nath Kovind."

The Congress chief whip Taraprasad Bahinipati had earlier claimed that many BJD and BJP MLAs will cross vote in favour of Meira Kumar, the opposition candidate for the presidential elections.
