No power cuts in T'gana from 2018: Rao

Urging all political parties to cooperate in the development of Telangana, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today said his government has set the target of making the state free of power cuts from 2018.

"There will no power cuts in Telangana from 2018 onwards," Rao announced while addressing a public meeting at Raikal mandal headquarters after unveiling the statue of Komuram Bheem, the late tribal leader from Telangana.

Rao said all eligible persons would get old age pensions and those who did not get so far can apply before the tehsildars concerned.

Talking about 'Mission Kakatiya' he said, "It is a unique programme, with which the irrigation needs of the state would be fulfilled."
 

Union Minister for Tribal Welfare Jual Oram, Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao were present on the occasion.
