Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said no previous government ever paid any attention towards Mewat and promised that BJP government will bring the district in the mainstream of development.
"No previous government had ever paid any attention towards development of Mewat. But the present government will bring Mewat in the mainstream of development and it will be developed alike other 20 districts of Haryana," Khattar said during the 'Akhil Bhartiya Muslim Gau Palak Sammelan' organised by 'Muslim Rashtriya Manch' in Ferozepur Jhirka here, said an official release.
In the past 68 years, caste-based politics was prevalent, but in the present government, there is no room them, he asserted.

He said the people of Mewat should be congratulated for its full support in passing of 'Gau Sanrakshan-Gau Samvardhan Bill'.
This regulation formulated for the preservation of cows is appreciated throughout the country today, he said adding the representatives of this district gave their full support for the Bill.
Khattar said from the ancient times, Mewat has always been known as a biggest cow rearer. To keep this tradition alive, people of Mewat should rear maximum number of cows, he said.
On this occasion, the Muslim Rashtriya Manch presented a cow to the Chief Minister.
On this occasion, a booklet named 'Gau and Islam' and a CD named 'Gau ki Hifazat par Ulma ka Nazariya' was also released by the Chief Minister, said the release.
Indresh Kumar, Margdarshak (Guide) of Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) and Member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) said people have set an example of brotherhood during the incidents happened in the past few months in the country.
Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi, Chief Imam also spoke on the occasion.
