The Allahabad High Court today disposed of a writ petition of wife of Samajwadi Party MLA Ram Pal Yadav, whose under-construction house here was demolished recently, after Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) informed the court that at present no process was going on to demolish his house in Gomatinagar.

If such an action is taken in future, the prescribed legal course would be adopted, the LDA told the Lucknow bench of the HC comprising justice Amreshwar Pratap Sahi and justice Attau Rahman Masoodi.

The bench gave the order on a writ petition filed by Shanti Yadav seeking directions for restraining the demolition of a house in Vinay Khand, Gomtinagar area here.

She apprehended that after demolition of the MLA's under- construction in Jiyamau area here, the LDA might demolish her house in Gomtinagar.

According to the petitioner's counsel, R B S Rathore, a letter was produced on behalf of LDA giving the information.

The court took it on record and accordingly disposed of the petition.
