No rains in Punjab, Haryana, temp rises

With no rainfall in the region for the past few days, maximum temperature rose in several areas and hovered above the normal level.

Chandigarh had a hot and humid day at 35.2 deg C, up by two notches, the weather office said.

Ambala in Haryana recorded a high of 35.3 deg C, up three degrees while Hisar and Rohtak, too, registered above normal maximums at 36.5 deg C and 34.9 deg C, respectively.

Bhiwani recorded a high of 35.8 deg C.

In Punjab, Ludhiana and Patiala recorded maximum temperatures of 34.4 deg C and 35.2 deg C while Amritsar, too, had a hot day at 35.6 deg C.
